Thanks for the Show off board!
I'd like to introduce everyone to my lovely Border Collies.
Maplewood's My Vow To You "Zable"
Zable is a male Border Collie. He has the 'field' type look to him rather than the 'show' type look. Zable is very versatile and learns quickly. Not only does he compete at the PKC in Conformation, PCS, Obedience, & Premier, but also outside the PKC in Pose Shows, Frisbee Trials, Herding Trials, Agility Trials, Flyball Trials, and so much more! He has been raised naturally from just a pup and has just recently grown into his fully adult self. Zable is already proving himself in the rings as well, taking 3rd in his first Frisbee Trial, BBC in his first Border Collie Premier, & passing his GPC test with flying colors! I have high hopes for this boy!
His BBC Premier win pic-
I hope he continues to do well in everything!
Maplewood's Sweet Child Of Mine "Zanaka"
Zanaka is my Female Border Collie. She too is more of the 'field type'. Just like Zable she is very versatile and shows in many things. She too was naturally raised. When I first got Zanaka, she was a lot more hyper than Zable. Now that she's grown, she seems to be very focused most of the time, though she still has her moments of doing her own thing. Zanaka is also proving herself well in the rings, placing 1st in her first Frisbee Trial, 2nd in her first Herding trial, getting BIS in one of her first Pose Shows, and also passing her GPC test! Though Zanaka is faulted for her eyes which will most likely make finishing her extremely hard in the PKC Border Collie ring, she is still proving herself great in everything she does.
So yes, those are my border Collies one of my 'main' breeds. I will be growing this line VERY slowly as I plan to raise each naturally and show each to their full potential before bringing in another. My focus here is Quality, not quantity. These two have their own website, 'Maplewood' which you can view if you'd like to here: djwolfpup.angelfire.com/Maplewood/Maplewood.html
These two are my reason for joining new forums as I want as many different places to show them as I can. I like showing them under various judges and I try to get new show pics with them every now and then so the same judges don't see the same pic over and over. Winning with the same pic in my opinion also doesn't seem to mean as much to me as winning multiple times with several different pics.
These guys compete at the PKC, Pets Sports Club, Duke's Group, and soon A Petz Sim once it is done being revised.
